Amazon Web Services launches Amazon Nimble Studio – Cloud based VFX Studio

With an aim to boost companies with the digital and streaming revolutions currently underway, Amazon has launched the Amazon Nimble Studio for Media & Entertainment feature.

AWS for Media & Entertainment offers new and existing technology from AWS and AWS Partners tackling key areas: VFX, content production; media supply chain and archive; broadcast; direct-to-consumer and streaming; and data science and analytics.

Among the technology offered with AWS for Media & Entertainment is the new Amazon Nimble Studio, a service designed to help set up creative studios at an accelerated rate. Other AWS services provided include AWS Elemental MediaPackage, AWS Elemental MediaConnect, AWS Elemental MediaLive, AWS Elemental MediaConvert, AWS Elemental MediaStore, AWS Elemental MediaTailor and Amazon Interactive Video Service.

It is a new online cloud-based service that studios can use to create visual effects (VFX), Animations, and interactive content entirely in the cloud with AWS.

Nimble Studio Features:

– Access to virtual workstations
– Expandable storage 
– Render farm capacity.
– In-built tools for IP security and permissions
– Access the global talent 
– User-Friendly Portal UI

Nimble Studio uses Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2) virtual workstation, Amazon FSx for storage, and AWS Thinkbox Deadline for render farm and uses the NICE DCV protocol For high-performance remote display.

Nimble Studio is now available in selective places such as US West (Oregon), US East (N. Virginia), Canada (Central), Europe (London), Asia Pacific (Sydney) Regions, and the US West (Los Angeles) Local Zone. Nimble Studio currently not available in India.
