Anime Times to conduct a special event at Mumbai’s Phoenix Mall

Anime Times to exhibit at Mumbai Comic Con

Anime Times Company, formed by 13 content rights holders including prominent Japanese publishers and anime studios like Avex Pictures, Kodansha, Shueisha and Shogakukan, has announced that instead of Mumbai Comic Con, they will be hosting an event at Phoenix Mall, Kurla in Mumbai on 20 and 21 April.

Their release stated, “Due to a unilateral mistake by the organisers of Mumbai Comic Con 2024, we have been forced to cancel our participation in the event scheduled for 20-21 April, despite having a contract in place and preparations well underway. This unfortunate decision, made at the last minute by the organisers, is highly regrettable.”

The platform announced: “In light of these circumstances, we are excited to inform our loyal customers that Anime Times will host an alternate event at Phoenix Mall. We have planned a variety of engaging activities including giveaways and a raffle for attendees to enjoy.”

At the Anime Times booth, subscribers of the platforms can get two T-shirts (from Attack on Titan and Zombie Land Saga) on a first-come, first-served basis at the event.

In addition to the T-shirt giveaway, visitors will be able to participate in a raffle draw for anime goods at the booth. Non-members, who have a Prime Video membership, can register for Anime Times at the booth and avail a 50 per cent discount, getting the subscription at Rs 449/year until 25 April. Pre-registration is possible through a special site.
