Sony YAY! celebrates World Music Day with music maestros Geet Sagar, Toshi and Shaarib

To celebrate World Music Day, Sony YAY!’s Oggy collaborated with popular music maestros Geet Sagar and the duo Toshi and Shaarib to take young audiences on a musical journey.

Oggy, the kids most favourite YAY! toon celebrated an exciting musical extravaganza at KidZania, Mumbai, where the famous musicians treated kids with melodious songs and a musical performance. This extraordinary musical evening was also dedicated to kids of a special NGO whose aim is to create musical experiences for not so privileged kids and to also share and impart the knowledge of music.

Sony Pictures Networks India, kids’ genre business head Leena Lele Dutta said, “Music is the universal language of mankind, and at Sony YAY! We have always used the power of music in our stories to build a deeper connect with kids. With an aim to celebrate the magic of music we curated this musical evening with the famous music maestros.”

Singer-composer Toshi and Shaarib said, “Celebrating the essence of music with kids was one of the most heart-warming experiences that I’ve ever had. I am very happy that Sony YAY! took this initiative and gave us an opportunity to interact with kids. This celebration with young audiences brought the hidden child in us alive all over again.”

Singer Geet Sagar said, “I believe in the power of music and its ability to communicate any emotion. It was an enriching experience for me to have had this opportunity to perform for such a lovely young audience and introduce them to the world of music.
