MPC bags Apsara for Jungle Tales

Delhi based Moving Picture Company (India) Ltd.’s 3D animated production ‘Jungle Tales’ has won the Apsara Award for ‘Best Animated Series’

The APSARA Awards are organized by ‘The Film & Television Producers Guild’ and were announced on 21st January, 2006. Jungle Tales was competing against international productions in this category.

Ramesh Sharma, CMD, Moving Picture Company (India) Ltd. shared that Moving Picture Company – which has a state of the art animation studio in the Film City NOIDA, has produced India’s first long format CGI 3D Animation series Jungle Tales – based on the Panchatantra folk stories.

good work going”

Jungle Tales’ has been telecast on Cartoon Network and is soon to be aired on Doordarshan Network.

“The company plans to release 10 episodes of Jungle Talesas VCDs and DVDs in the near future. The series has also been converted in an educational class room tool. Language versions of ‘Jungle Tales’ will also be launched in all the regional channels” concluded Sharma.
