BARC (Broadcast Audience Research Council) India COO Romil Ramgarhia has stepped down from his post. He joined the organisation in 2014 as the chief business officer and was elevated to COO role about two years back.
“Romil Ramgarhia has resigned from the services of BARC India effective 31 July 2020,” shared BARC India.
Ramagarhia was one of the founding members of BARC India. Ramgarhia was responsible with former BARC India CEO Partho Dasgupta to help establish BARC as the official currency on Television Measurement (viewership ratings) in India.
In his previous stints, he has worked with Zee Entertainment Enterprise as CCO, Viacom18 Media as head of the commercial, Bharti Airtel as manager and at Asian Paints as an account executive. It’s yet to be revealed where Ramgarhia will join next.
Last year BARC brought on board the present CEO Sunil Lulla after Dasgupta resigned to set up his own venture.
