‘Run Ammu Run’ promotes the 35th National Games of India

35th National Games of India have kicked off in Kerala and what better way to kick it off with a mobile game. Developed by Igloo Innovations and published by Malayala Manorama, Run Ammu Run is a 2D platformer where you play as Ammu the National Games mascot and carry the games torch and run for glory.

The mobile app was launched by Kerala Sports Minister Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan at a function held in Kerala on Saturday.

Created in the span of 2-3 months, the game was developed in Unity and is available on Google Play Store. Igloo Innovations team also did the art and music for the game.

Ammu runs on the track and has to collect as many medals – Gold, Silver and Bronze – to earn points! Various obstacles like hurdles, footballs, basketballs, etc are lined up to stop Ammu from reaching far and one should avoid obstacles and try to run the longest.

The game can be played representing any of the states in India, along with gaining points for the state and self. Points should be scored by collecting the gold coins while Ammu runs.

Features like extra health for each 1000 metre run will allow players to run longer and stay in the game. The better your health, the longer you can run and chances of being featured on the leaderboard.

Ammu, faces many challenges on its way towards the finishing line and the player will be having three lives in his/her kitty. The game has been designed in a manner such that the player can familiarise himself/herself with the proceedings of the National Games.

A player’s points in the leader board can be viewed by logging in through Facebook. Historical monuments of India can also be seen on either side of Ammu’s track. The player, who covers maximum distance defying obstacles, will come out as the winner of the game.

Scores can be shared with your friends via SMS, Email, WhatsApp, Facebook, Twitter and other social networks and challenge them.
