Godfall was the first game officially announced for the PlayStation 5. But its reveal came in the form of a cinematic trailer, meaning we never actually got to see what a game on the PS5 looks like. But recently a six second video leak on social site Reddit reveals the how the gameplay will be like on PS 5.
According to the Redditor who uploaded it, this is taken from an internal trailer from early 2019.There’s a few things that caught in the footage, including what appears to be a lunging attack for one character at the start of the clip, as well as an attack direction indicator around the player character. For such a brief video, there’s at least a few nuggets of info.
Since it was announced at The Game Awards, we’ve learned that Godfall will have a loot system, where you’ll be going after “legendary weapons and armor” according to its website, as well as the option for “one, two, or three player co-op play”.
Godfall is also not releasing on current generation consoles. According to creative director Keith Lee, the game will take advantage of the PlayStation 5 controller adaptive triggers. The console’s SSD will also allow seamless loading of the game’s expansive world.
“Our combat is kinesthetic in nature, so the new controller’s ‘adaptive triggers’ and haptic feedback will make moment-to-moment combat feel exhilarating and visceral,” said Lee.
Godfall will be released on PlayStation 5 as well as on PC through the Epic Games Store later this year. We will let you know more about the game as soon as possible, so stay tuned for all the latest news.
