Mattel recently shared that Sai Koorapati has been appointed senior vice president and chief technology officer for the company, effective 19 August 2024. Koorapati is now reporting to Mattel CFO Anthony DiSilvestro.

In his role, Koorapati oversees all aspects of Mattel’s technology innovation and implementation, including shared platforms, software and hardware development, artificial intelligence (AI), and connected product design and creation. He also leads Mattel’s online security and privacy.
With over 25 years of technology leadership experience, Koorapati joins Mattel from his most recent role as senior vice president, global information technology at Topgolf Callaway Brands where for the past 10 years he led a company-wide digital transformation initiative, resulting in significant growth acceleration, profitability gains, and enhanced risk management during a period of four major acquisitions. He led a high-performing technology team that delivered innovative solutions, including world-class ERP, e-commerce, and analytics platforms.
Previously, Koorapati held leadership positions at TaylorMade Golf, Gathering Storm Group of Companies, and other technology and manufacturing companies. He has a strong foundation in technology and business operations, with international experience in India, Malaysia, Japan, and the United Kingdom.

Koorapati holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from Andhra University College of Engineering in India and received a Masters of Technology in Industrial Engineering from the National Institute of Industrial Engineering in India. He will be based at Mattel’s global headquarters in El Segundo, California.
