Disney’s ‘Hexed’ casts its spell as UK ticket sales open ahead of November release

Disney is ready to work its magic at the box office. Walt Disney Animation Studios’ Disney’s Hexed has opened ticket sales in the UK, ahead of its exclusive theatrical release on 25 November 2026.

The studio has also dropped a new sneak peek of the animated fantasy, with more musical magic on the way. Hailee Steinfeld, who voices teenage protagonist Billie Doe, has recorded a new version of the American band, The Cars’ hit song Magic. The track lands on Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music and other digital platforms on 23 October. A dedicated Spotify playlist featuring the song and music from the film will arrive on the same day.

The full soundtrack for Disney’s Hexed follows on 20 November. It features Steinfeld’s rendition of Magic and an original score by Kris Bowers, whose credits include The Wild Robot.

The film follows Doe, an unconventional teenager whose hidden magical abilities turn her suburban life upside down. Her discovery sends her into Hexe, a spectacular witch realm where she must join forces with her cautious mother, Alice, to unravel family secrets that could change the world of witches.

Rashida Jones voices Alice, while Walton Goggins lends his voice to Beef Roger Crummchuk, a reclusive, three-eyed magical cat who strikes an uneasy alliance with the pair. Two-time Academy Award winner Jodie Foster voices Queen Celeste, a sinister ruler determined to hold on to her power. Henry Winkler, Dan Stevens, Tracey Ullman and Stephen Fry round out the voice cast.

Directed by Fawn Veerasunthorn and Jason Hand, with Josie Trinidad as co-director, the film is produced by Roy Conli and Yvett Merino. Walt Disney Animation Studios chief creative officer Jared Bush and filmmaker Dana Ledoux Miller wrote the screenplay.

With tickets now on sale and its soundtrack ready to strike a chord, Disney’s Hexed is gearing up to bring a little witchcraft to the big screen this November.
