Jaipur is set to take center stage in India’s creative economy on 28 October as the Rising AVGC-XR & Media Association (Rama Rajasthan) hosts the Rajasthan AVGC-XR Summit 2026 (Ras 2026) at the Rajasthan International Centre (Ric), Jaipur, to mark International Animation Day. The summit will bring together creators, industry leaders, studios, students and academic institutions from across the country to explore opportunities in animation, visual effects, gaming, comics and extended reality (AVGC-XR).
Building on the Rajasthan AVGC-XR Policy 2024, the state is promoting creative industries, skills and entrepreneurship. The Department of Information Technology & Communication (DoIT&C), government of Rajasthan, is collaborating with the summit to advance innovation, technology and employment opportunities.
The Atal Innovation Studio and Accelerator (Aisa) programme strengthens Rajasthan’s innovation ecosystem through a hub-and-spoke model, with Jaipur as the hub and centers in Udaipur, Bikaner and Bharatpur. The initiative is linked to 1,117 AVGC-registered startups, of which 151 have received funding of Rs 7.38 crore. Rajasthan’s participation in five film festivals has reached 15,000+ participants, promoting filmmaking and connecting emerging talent with industry opportunities. In a parallel skill-development initiative, Unity, Nvidia and the Centre for Entertainment Arts (CEA) have trained 500+ creators from Rajasthan in deep learning and AI technologies, including computer vision, neural networks and multi-GPU computing.
Under the theme Create in India, Create in Rajasthan, Ras 2026 will feature industry-led masterclasses, expert discussions, IP launches, an exhibition and six creative challenges inspired by Rajasthan’s culture. Raj Comics founder Sanjay Gupta, is among the industry voices expected to participate. The summit will also present Rama Rajasthan’s first Lifetime Achievement Award to Ashish Kulkarni for his contribution to the creative industry.
Bringing AVGC-XR and media stakeholders from across the country to Jaipur reflects our belief that Rajasthan is ready to play a leading role in India’s creative economy.
