Bollywood is exploring casual gaming like never before; Disney India has associated with Sajid Nadiadwala for his next release ‘Kick’ starring the superstar Salman Khan and the Sri Lankan beauty Jacqueline Fernandez.

Disney India’s Interactive business launched the official mobile game on 19 July, based on the most awaited movie of the year – ‘Kick’.

The game has all the elements of the movie – heroism, secrecy, entertainment and above all, the game avatar of Salman Khan’s character ‘Devil’

“The game is very similar to the movie; it’s an out and out action and adventure kind of a game, it has two different game plays. It’s interesting and extremely engaging. We have tried to keep lots of similarities, so that people can easily engage themselves with the character in the game. The users can actually play Salman Khan. Overall it’s going to be very exciting for the consumers,” Disney India VP and head (Interactive), Sameer Ganapathy exulted.

The game is free to download; it will be available on Google play for Android and Windows phones as well. The iOS and feature phone version of the game will be launched shortly.

The Interactive team has worked very closely with Sajid Nadiadwala on the concept of the game. “We are offering a complete experience to the consumer and we believe that the interactive medium was the right way in giving people a chance to test their skills. Considering that it is going to be one of the biggest hits of the year, if not of all time, it only made sense that we make a game that becomes a hit as well,” added Ganapathy.

In the game titled after the movie, the player takes on the role of Devil (Salman Khan’s movie character) and embarks upon a benevolent yet exciting journey where he robs from the rich and corrupt and deposits that money in the bank for philanthropic causes. The game sways in two phases letting the player experience robbing and escaping game plays consecutively. The objective of a level is achieved only when the player manages to complete both the phases. The gamer will need to play in stealth mode and escape the cops in grit. The gameplay includes numerous obstacles which include security alarms, lasers, manholes, street cones and more.

“There was one game that was launched on me many years ago, uska pata nahi kya hua. I just hope iska pata chalega ke kya ho raha hai,” giggled Salman Khan ;-).

The production and development of the game was done by a very small team. It took them 8-9 weeks to develop it. Producer and director, Sajid Nadiadwala said: “Kick is a very special movie for us and we wanted to take the movie’s experience across age groups and give them a taste of the unique style of Salman’s film character and the essence of the movie through this game.”

“It’s an action film; it has Salman Khan in it, so what more one can ask for. You guys have seen the game and the movie trailer, this is just taking the engagement to the next level,” expounded Disney India MD, Siddharth Roy Kapur.

Releasing this Eid, Kick promises to be a complete wholesome action entertainer with Superstar Salman Khan at his natural best.
