‘Big Mouth’ returning to Netflix in October with second season

The critically acclaimed adult animated comedy Big Mouth returns to Netflix with its second season. The series will begin streaming on 5 October.

Big Mouth will have returning voices including Nick Kroll, John Mulaney, Maya Rudolph, Jason Mantzoukas, Jordan Peele, Fred Armisen, Jenny Slate and Jessi Klein joined by Gina Rodriguez and David Thewlis, who plays the shame wizard, the hormone monster’s mortal enemy who haunts the kids by stoking their deepest shame.

The adult animated series follows a group of now-seventh graders still grappling with the emotional baggage that comes with growing up, including hormones and the awkward realities of self-discovery, body image shame, sex ed and more.

Produced by Netflix, Big Mouth is a half-hour 10-episode animated comedy created by real-life BFFs Kroll and Andrew Goldberg, inspired by their own nightmare teenage. Screenwriter-directors Mark Levin and Jennifer Flackett join the team as executive producers.
