Every superhero needs an equally (almost) powerful supervillian to shine as the good guy and we all can agree to it. That being the case, through the times we have fallen in love with some characters who are ideally the bad guys of the story’s plot.
A bunch of superhero movies are making their way to the big screen in the coming years. Recently, there was Deadpool, Suicide Squad and now people are eagerly anticipating movies like Wonder Woman, The Flash and of course, Justice League. However, fans are also really excited to see one particular superhero in action has his presence has not been much in the silver screen, yes, it is Aquaman. Jason Momoa will take up the trident of Aquaman in the solo movie which is slated for a 2018 release and now as The Wrap reports; the villain whom Momoa or Aquaman would be facing in the movie is none other than his most formidable opponent, Black Manta.
One of many origin story of this archenemy of Aquaman depicts Aquaman killing the villian’s father as retaliation to a crime committed by the young Black Manta and thus he begins his relentless pursuit seeking revenge from Aquaman.
The comics shows Black Manta spending some time in the Belle Reve prison, where Amanda Waller tries to recruit him into the Suicide Squad, that’s why many fans believed that he would be joining the list in the Suicide Squad movie.
Momoa will also appear as Aquaman in the upcoming Justice League movie which will be hitting the theatres in 2017.
