The team behind the Annecy International Animation Film Festival and International Animation Film Market has opened the doors to this brand-new edition after many months of preparation.
More than 18,000 attendees from 117 countries will gather at the event in June as they do every year on Annecy’s lakeshores to celebrate the best animation from around the world.
Over the next seven days, the event celebrates talent, creation in all its forms and boundless imagination that are the hallmarks of the film industry.
A day prior to commencement of the event, the jury members convened that they will have the challenging task of judging the works and allocating the awards, including the prestigious Cristal. The opening ceremony of the Annecy International Animation Film Festival unveiled a selection of the short films in competition and marked the official start of this year’s edition.
