After much delay, Ubisoft has recently announced that they are shifting the development of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time’s remake, a much anticipated game to their studio in Montreal, Canada. Originally the game was in the works at their studios based in the Indian cities of Mumbai and Pune.
The remake of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time was initially announced in September 2020 and was expected to release in January 2021 on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC. This is the second instance where the game has been delayed, earlier it was from January to March.
Ubisoft’s Mumbai and Pune studios have assisted on games like Just Dance and Steep, but, The Sands of Time remake is their first major project that they have led on development.
Due to the pandemic related issues, the game has been delayed several times, but the current update by Ubisoft is a surety for fans that they are working on the project and it is their priority to bring Sand of Time back on track.
