Eight titles from the beloved Yakuza series will be added to PlayStation Plus throughout the course of the rest of the year, with the first title arriving in August, according to Sony. However, if you have a PlayStation Plus essential subscription, you will only receive one of the games.
Yakuza: Like a Dragon, one of the August PlayStation Plus monthly games, is the event’s starting point. In other words, regardless of the PS Plus tier you choose, you will be able to claim it. Strong competition can also be seen in the other monthly games. In addition to Little Nightmares, a horror game akin to Limbo, there are Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 and 2. The release of Rollerdrome, a heavy shooter-skater mix set in an evocative retrofuture on 16 August is also eligible for a PlayStation Plus discount from Sony.
As the titles are entering the game catalogue in August, extra and premium customers will also have access to Yakuza 0, Yakuza Kiwami, and Yakuza Kiwami 2. According to Sony, extra and premium users will have access to Yakuza 3, 4, and 5 and Yakuza 6: The Song of Life remasters later this year.
