1 out of 3 Game Developers Delayed Games due of COVID-19

As per to a report by IGN, 70 per cent of participating developers revealed that they are working from home, while 27 per cent had started working from home even before the pandemic.

“We transitioned to [work from home] okay, but it did cause us about a couple of weeks of disruption,” said one developer to IGN. “As [New Zealand] has got COVID under control we’re already back at the office and functioning 100 percent.”
About IGDC The India Game Developer Conference (IGDC), formerly known as the NASSCOM Game Developers Conference (NGDC), is India’s premier game developers conference. The conference is organized by industry volunteers, with support from corporates and the Telangana government.

The survey was part of the annual GDC’s “State of the Industry” surveys which game developers take part in. The conference organisers released a survey focusing on how the pandemic might have affected game development this year.
