The CW drops new trailer for Batwoman season three featuring Ryan Wilder who finds herself facing off against the DC Comics villain, the Mad Hatter.
The trailer gives the glimpses of Mad Hatter, who is one among the many Batman super-villains lined up to make their Arrowverse debut in the episodes ahead. Mad Hatter is modeled after the Hatter from Lewis Carroll’s novel Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, a character often called the Mad Hatter in adaptations of Carroll.
In the start of the trailer we can hear a voiceover asking, “So what’s next, Batwoman?” to which Batwoman replies “We find that case of Batman’s trophies before anyone else does.”
This season will focus on Wilder and her team’s hunt for Batman villain trophies that got scattered into Gotham River and washed ashore at the end of season two. The trailer also features other villains beyond the Mad Hatter while also providing a glimpses of Robin Givens and Nick Creegan as Jada and Marquis Jet, a powerful CEO and her reckless playboy son. Luke Fox also makes a brief appearance in his shiny new Batwing suit.
Earlier last month, it was announced that Agent Carter‘s Bridget Regan would make her debut as Pamela Isley/Poison Ivy in the new episodes.
Batwoman stars Javicia Leslie, Rachel Skarsten, Meagan Tandy, Nicole Kang, and Camrus Johnson. The series returns on 13 October, Wednesday at 9 PM ET/PT on The CW.
