Warner Bros. Animation makes Thanksgiving special with ‘Looney Tunes’ podcast series

Warner Bros. Animation recently released four-part original comedy podcast series for the entire family features the Looney Tunes in a never seen before avatar. Looney Tunes Presents: Bugs & Daffy’s Thanksgiving Road Trip, first of its kind is now available on Spotify and all major podcast platforms.

“The Looney Tunes have entertained audiences on countless screens and I’m so excited to bring their unique brand of comedy and slapstick to the podcast medium. This brand-new expression of these beloved characters will satisfy fans of all ages and opens up a new avenue of storytelling for this iconic franchise,” said Warner Bros. Animation and Cartoon Network Studios president Sam Register.

When Bugs and Daffy are invited to the Warner Bros. lot for a big Thanksgiving feast, the ever-prideful Daffy declines – refusing to celebrate a holiday whose entire purpose is the idolization of a turkey. With a little convincing, Daffy decides to attend but is determined to make ducks the official bird of Thanksgiving and hatches a plan to star in a big budget holiday movie.

The only problem is, Daffy isn’t famous enough to star in his own movie, so Bugs and Daffy must take a road trip across the country to raise Daffy’s profile – making stops at football games, food events, and fashion shows. Join Bugs and Daffy on four hilarious episodes as they embark on a quest to turn Daffy into the “Thanksgiving Duck,” the official bird of Thanksgiving.

Here is the episode-wise detail of the Looney Tunes podcast series:

Episode one: Touchdown Duck– Bugs and Daffy make their first stop at the Thanksgiving Bird Bowl, where Daffy attempts to become a football star, but he’ll have to take down the mighty Hometown Crushers first.

Episode two: A Kooky Cook-Off– Bugs and Daffy stop at the annual Turkey Fair, where Daffy enters a chili cook-off to raise his profile as a famous chef. Meanwhile, reigning chili cook-off champions, Maw and Paw, have their sights set on Bugs in order to complete their rabbit chili.

Episode three: Runway Rabbit– Bugs and Daffy land internships with famous magazine editor, Anya Sheep, as Daffy tries his best to get on the cover of a fashion magazine. Once they make it to the runway, Daffy must face off against beloved fashion model, Klaus.

Episode Four: Movie Mallard– Daffy begins production on his Thanksgiving movie, letting the power of directing go to his head. Will his movie be enough to cement himself in everyone’s mind as the “Thanksgiving Duck?”

Looney Tunes Presents: Bugs & Daffy’s Thanksgiving Road Trip is produced by Sam Bair and Peter McNerney, while the production services are provided by Story Pirates Studios. Lee Overtree serves as executive producer and director. Benjamin Salka is one of the executive producers. The series has been written by Minhdzuy Khorami.
