Netflix has released a trailer of Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous season five. This will be the final season of the series and is set to premiere on 21 July. The show centres on a group of six teenagers who accept invitations to a modern adventure camp on Isla Nublar. The group must work together to survive when the dinosaurs escape from captivity in this season.
The kids in the new trailer express hope about returning home but also exhibit skepticism about it. The one-and-a-half-minute trailer begins just as Daniel Kon, the head of Mantah Corp., arrives. Season four finale revealed that Mr Kon is actually Kenji’s father, who in the trailer tells his friends, “My dad’s trying to save the dinosaurs just like we are,” while also locking them in a jail cell. The children understand that the dinosaurs’ fate depends on whether they choose to stay or leave.
Showrunner Scott Kreamer said, “At this final chapter in the story, our campers are at a crossroads. On the one hand, they have never been closer to getting home, but on the other, they have never been in more danger of never seeing their families again. There is no clear path forward. They must simultaneously battle to survive the dinosaurs, as well as those that threaten these same creatures’ existence.”
Guest stars that are returning in season five are Kirby Howell- Baptiste as Dr Mae Turner, Glen Powell as Dave, Haley Joel Osment as Kash Langford, and Jameela Jamil as Roxie. Apart from that Paul-Mikél Williams will be seen as Darius Bowman, Sean Giambrone as Ben Pincus, Jenna Ortega as Brooklynn and Roger Craig Smith as B.R.A.D.
The show is executive produced by Steven Spielberg, Colin Trevorrow, and Frank Marshall, along with Scott Kreamer and Aaron Hammersley, who are also the showrunners. Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous is backed by DreamWorks Animation, Universal Pictures and Amblin Entertainment.
