Netflix announces new anime ‘Castlevania: Nocturne’ along with a trailer

During its Geeked Week, Netflix announced that a new animated spin-off series of Castlevania called Castlevania: Nocturne is in the making. The release date of the series is not revealed yet.

This new series will focus on Richter Belmont this time, and it was previously teased to include Maria Bernard from the first game series. This first teaser trailer for the upcoming season seems equally intriguing as the original. Belmont pulls a hero-pose with the iconic vampire killer whip in hand before passionately smouldering towards the camera in Nocturne’s introduction video, which was a quick one.

Netflix describes the series as – A vampire hunter fights to save a besieged city from an army of otherworldly beasts controlled by Dracula himself. Inspired by the classic video games.

Kevin Kolde will serve as the showrunner for Castlevania: Nocturne, with Clive Bradley as the creator and writer. Castlevania: Nocturne teases material from the Castlevania: Symphony of Night and Castlevania: Blood of Rondo games, produced by Project 51 Productions with production services provided by Powerhouse Animation.
