Love! Live! Sunshine is about to make a strong comeback. The anime’s idols are back in action, owing to a forthcoming anime after closing off their narrative a few years ago. It is revealed that the series will return for an anime spinoff, Genjitsu no Yohane – Sunshine in the Mirror, which will bring fans’ beloved singers into a fantastical setting that any “isekai” would like!
The announcement was made at Aqours 6th LoveLive! Windy Stage concert that was held at Tokyo Dome in Japan and the first trailer of the spinoff was also released there. Love! Live! Sunshine’s whole crew is returning in this anime, and this will be the first special show for the franchise that will reunite an idol group, which already has a complete series under it.
The manga Yohane of the Parhelion, which depicts Yohane’s (Yoshiko Tsushima) day-to-day activities in a fantasy universe, will be adapted into the anime. Hajime Yatate and Sakurako Kimino authored the manga series, and Matsuda Kouta illustrated it. The series will be produced by Studio Bandai Namco Arts. Toshiya Ono will write the scripts, while Asami Nakatani will direct. The soundtrack is composed by Tatsuya Kato, and Yumiko Yamamoto is creating the character designs.
The cast includes Aika Kobayashi as Yohane, Kanako Takatsuki as Hanamaru, Arisa Komiya as Dia, Ai Furihata as Ruby, Anju Inami as Chika, Shuka Saito as You, Nanaka Suwa as Kanan, Rikako Aida as Riko and Aina Suzuki as Mari.
