Crunchyroll teases a new clip of ‘Chainsaw Man’ anime prior to it’s release

Crunchyroll recently shared a new teaser for the first episode, Dog and Chainsaw, of the highly-anticipated Chainsaw Man anime. The series is all set to premiere on 11 October in Japan. Crunchyroll will stream the anime as it airs in North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East and CIS.

The clip offers up a lightning fast preview of the start of Denji’s journey as he picks up Pochita and unleashes all the hell that breaks loose shortly thereafter.

As per Crunchyroll website, Denji is a teenage boy living with a Chainsaw Devil named Pochita. Due to the debt his father left behind, he has been living a rock-bottom life while repaying his debt by harvesting devil corpses with Pochita. One day, Denji is betrayed and killed. As his consciousness fades, he makes a contract with Pochita and gets revived as ‘Chainsaw Man’ — a man with a devil’s heart.

Ryu Nakayama (JUJUTSU KAISEN episode 19 director) directs Chainsaw Man at MAPPA, based on scripts by Hiroshi Seko (Mob Psycho 100, JUJUTSU KAISEN) and character designs adapted by Kazutaka Sugiyama (Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation).Recently, the voice cast for the English dub of Chainsaw Man, led by Mike McFarland was revealed.
