philm CGI; an animation and VFX studio was founded eight years ago by Arpan Gaglani and Anand Bhanushali in Mumbai as a boutique studio with a small team of 20 artists. Over the years, they have evolved and made a mark for themselves as one of India’s reputed studios with over 300 artists and have also expanded their foothold with offices in two cities (Pune in Maharashtra and Thrissur in Kerala).
As a studio they started with CG and 3D Animation and over a span of time with the vision of directors they have expanded their working to 2D and VFX also. Over the years philm CGI may have grown in numbers, work and experience but the core of their work ethic still remains the same. The team believes that good quality content and timely deliveries is something that they take pride off and this is something that has been constant.
“Over the last eight years our vision has grown and evolved with the exciting and challenging projects that have come our way. We have gotten great opportunities to work with production houses across India and Europe in both CGI and VFX which has been a great learning experience for us. Our team from the beginning has been our biggest strength, even with the pandemic and trying times, they have stuck together, helped and motivated each other to achieve the best in times like these. Our journey so far has been very motivating and we look forward to soaring higher and stronger with every passing year,” said philmCGI MD Arpan Gaglani.
“Eight years anniversary has been a very big milestone for us. If I look back, eight Years have just flown by and I can proudly say that today philm CGI has become what we envisioned as artists. A studio with unique culture and drive to collaborate on some of the most amazing projects around the world with a team that is so passionate having delivered time and again amazing creatives for every platform be it feature films or OTT in both animation and visual FX. I have to mention the technical, IT and R&D teams that have enabled us with the best tools and pipeline over the years,” said philm CGI MD Anand Bhanushali.
