Snoopy has landed on Santa’s naughty list, but the beloved beagle still has 12 days to make things right. Apple TV has unveiled the trailer for Snoopy Presents: 12 Days of Snoopy, a new festive special premiering globally on 13 November.
With Christmas around the corner, the Peanuts gang is on its best behaviour while Snoopy sets out to prove that he deserves a place on Santa’s nice list. Along the way, he discovers that the season is about more than presents, giving the animated special a familiar message wrapped in holiday cheer.
Music takes centre stage, too. Emmy Award-nominated composer Jeff Morrow scores the special, which features original tracks from an eclectic line-up of performers.
EGot (Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony Awards) honouree John Legend lends his voice to Get Ready, produced by multi-award-winning musician Raphael Saadiq. Grammy Award winner Kamasi Washington performs Trying to Get There, featuring fellow Grammy winner Leon Bridges. Laufey, also a Grammy Award winner, takes on the holiday classic Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas, produced by Spencer Stewart.
Inspired by Charles M. Schulz’s much-loved Peanuts comic strip, the special is produced by Peanuts and WildBrain. Josh Scherba, Stephanie Betts, Logan McPherson, Paige Braddock, Chris Bracco and Mark Evestaff serve as executive producers.
The latest addition to Apple TV’s Snoopy Presents collection follows a run of original specials featuring the Peanuts characters. The streamer also houses The Snoopy Show and Snoopy in Space, alongside classics such as A Charlie Brown Christmas and It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown.
Apple TV’s expanded partnership with WildBrain, Peanuts Worldwide and Lee Mendelson Film Productions runs until 2030. The companies are also working on a new animated feature, Snoopy Unleashed, in which Charlie Brown and the gang head to the Big City after Snoopy runs away from home.
For now, the beagle’s immediate mission is simpler: clear his name before Christmas. With a festive soundtrack and a date with viewers on 13 November, Snoopy is ready to give Santa’s list a run for its money.
