Mumbai based SciClone FX has recently completed a series of stylized TVCs incorporating 3D for Motorola’s new Mobile Phones.
And talk about dedication!
On being asked about the challenges and USP of their work in the commercials, the reply was “Brand Awareness, QVGA with 2 MP camera, super efficient stylus, a stylised wireless Head-set contributing to wireless stereo music that stores up-to 1500 songs, Slim Phone, Dedicated Music Keys, High-Speed Downloads, MP3 player etc”
Such was their involvement with the communication objective that the 3D and VFX Director sounded like a brand Ambassador and product manager rolled into one!
But then that’s the passion and dedication that makes animation and FX, the discipline that it is.
Of course the Graphics work done by SciClone was remarkable. Eight TV Commercials, each of them highlighting specific features of the Phone using 3D and design to enhance the films which already had a lot of dazzle courtesy Abhishek Bachchan the Brand ambassador who starred in the films
SciClone Director Evon Reddy shared, “The photo realistic Motorola E6, Motorola L9 and Motorola Z6 was executed by us”
“We worked towards the set design and motion design within the 3D ambiance incorporating the supers as a set element”
“Highlights include the introduction of the MotoRokr E6 in all its glory whereby we tried to balance the attention between Abhishek B. the Main hero of the film viz-a- viz Motorola‘s MotoRokr E6”
A total of eight Motorola films were done by SciClone in a period of 30 days. We have a team size of 20 and each of our artists has spent some time working on Motorola at one point or the other Evon pointed out.
“In two commercials for Motorola L9, we addressed the product window with motion design. The Motorola Z6 was also a contemporary product feature walk-through. The Eighth ad is a 15 seconder product feature window which has been produced in house for Motorola Z6′ SciClone Director Akash Reddy elaborated about the Ads.”
“The Z6 commercial was executed with a stylised treatment as we had only a 15 second window to communicate the features in 3D space. It gave us a great opportunity to explore our skill-sets”
“It’s been a great experience working with O & M Delhi, Corcoise Films and Motorola and we look forward to more exciting challenges in the days to come” ,concluded Akash.
