
CII (Confederation Of Indian Industry) has announced the first ever dedicated virtual summit for the Animation, VFX, Gaming, Comics [AVGC] sector – which is set to showcase the cutting edge of content and technology in the Media & Entertainment industry.
The CII National Committee on Media & Entertainment has identified this vertical as a priority sector for 2020-2021. The Government of India has also pronounced this a ‘champion sector’ as a driver for exports and skills development. The summit will be graced by the key representatives from the Central and State government.

SummitFX 2020 aims to set a new benchmark in taking this dedicated virtual AVGC event to the global stage. The summit will span four days across multiple tracks providing an amazing range of sessions that would attract content creators, broadcasters, buyers, studios, production companies, publishers, distributors & developers across the gamut of the AVGC landscape.
CII AVGC summit conference chair and CII National Committee for Media & Entertainment vice chairman and Technicolor India country head Biren Ghose says, “India has a multitude of players across AVGC and the sector is poised to continue a significant growth notwithstanding the present global crisis. The virtual events will take place from the first to the fourth September 2020 and the programme will be shaped around many specially curated segments. Delegates will be treated to several events such as B2B meetings; interactive sessions with industry ‘gurus’; Masterclasses & Interviews with global luminaries; an inauguration with luminaries from the Government, Academia & Industry; Thought Leadership in AVGC across different streams regarding Broadcast, Streaming, Production, Licensing, Gaming Platforms, etc.
