The Indian VFX industry has been exponentially growing by acquiring advanced technology, and adapting to world-class techniques, thanks to the growing demand for OTT and entertainment. Looking at the current growth rate, it is estimated that the VFX industry in India would be worth 129 billion rupees by 2023.
Rotomaker India Pvt, the proud VFX partner of prestigious Oscar nominated projects and thousands of visual masterpieces, is all set to raise the bars of the VFX learning ecosystem in this country. In an attempt to foster VFX as a career among youngsters, the firm is launching first of its kind free offline VFX bootcamp in India for early-career aspirants who are all in to make a career in the VFX industry. Having worked for over a decade catering to the needs of prestigious projects and Oscar nominated masterpieces, Rotomaker team is already in the front run in imparting their industry experience to early and mid career aspirants through Rotomaker Academy. Madhav Reddy (Mike), the founder of Rotomaker and General Secretary of TVAGA (Telangana VFX Animation and Gaming Association), with his sheer experience in this industry, has initiated this project to meet the future demand for VFX artists’. It is estimated that in the next 6 months, there would be a need for 5000 VFX artists and Rotomaker is sponsoring free training and internship opportunities for selected applicants.
Any applicant who passed or failed 10th, Intermediate, Degree, Engineering, or Diploma would be eligible for this program. The selected applicants would be trained for free by industry experts who are skilled in Visual effects, Rotoscopy, and Paint; and also would be assigned live industry projects. After successful completion of tool training, the applicants would be provided with production training on real time projects followed by the internship at Rotomaker India for up to 6 months, thereby making this a module a comprehensive on-training experiential training. They are also going to offer 100% placement assistance to all the candidates who pass all the tests and complete the projects. The last date for applying to this program is 31 March 2022, after which the selection process would begin among the candidates applied before the deadline.
