NVIDIA has appointed David Shannon as the chief administrative officer and Brian Cabrera as the Senior Vice President and General counsel.
Previously, Shannon, als
o practiced for eight years at the law firm of Gibson Dunn and Crutcher. After serving nine years as a Vice president and assistant general counsel at Intel, he later joined NVIDIA. At present, his new position of Chief Administrative Officer recognizes the expansion of his role from general counsel to include responsibility for Legal, HR and IP licensing.
Cabrera, comes to NVIDIA from Synopsys, where he has served for eight years as senior vice president, general counsel, corporate secretary, chief ethics and compliance officer. Prior to that, he spent seven years as senior vice president, corporate development and general counsel for Callidus Software, and 11 years in a variety of legal roles at PeopleSoft, Netscape and Silicon Graphics, as well as in private practice.
