Autodesk’s CONVERGE and Imagine Awards 2022 witnesses participation from infrastructure, architecture, manufacturing and media industries

Autodesk organised its annual thought leadership Design & Make Conference of the year “CONVERGE” 2022 at Bengaluru last week. The event was attended by over 330 industry stalwarts and had over 25 senior executive speakers who shared their vision about the infrastructure, architecture, manufacturing and media industries. The conference was power packed with insights and in-depth discussions around the changing landscape, trends and direction of the Indian industry.

Delegates from various parts of the country attended the conference and had the opportunity to learn and interact about what’s driving digital transformation, best practices in infrastructure and manufacturing, future of BIM, digital twin, pervasive AI trends, what’s leading to industry convergence and how to drive all this with the foundation of sustainability. They discussed delivering better business outcomes with engineering and design automation and deliberated on the business strategy and opportunities in next gen gaming, animation industry transformation innovations, ecommerce Industry best practices and how transformation in the media and entertainment industry can be driven through cloud collaboration.

The event was a huge success with speakers like Autodesk VP-Sales for APAC Haresh Khoobchandani; Mahindra & Mahindra chief design officer Rajeev Mittal, Zebu Animation founder and creative director Uma Maheswaran, Pinnacle Infotech CEO and founder Veerendra Patil, Technicolor India country head Biren Ghose; 88 Pictures co-founder and CEO Aby John; Head of 3D & CGI at RR Donnelley, Karthik Balasubramanian and Basilic Fly Studio central production head Lakshmanan C.​ to name just a few. Their discussions paved the way forward for the industry at large.

During his Keynote, Haresh Khoobchandani said, “Ideas are crossing disciplines and jumping between industries faster than ever driving Convergence. Autodesk’s Customer Experience Zone was packed with customers through the day. It featured demo’s on the themes of Artificial Intelligence, Cloud Collaboration and Virtual Reality covering topics like Generative Design, Cloud Collaboration, Real time production visibility, 3D motion capture just to name a few.

Autodesk also showcased some innovative prototypes that have been developed by students using Autodesk technologies like the Electric Disaster Rescue vehicle by Anna University student, Mars Rover by BITS Pilani student and the CESNA aircraft design of the wings by Dayananda Sagar University student. A truly inspiring and transformational showcase.

The day came to a close with the Autodesk Imagine Awards 2022. Autodesk recognised, felicitated and celebrated the impactful work that their customers are driving using innovative Autodesk technology across the architecture, engineering, construction, product design, manufacturing, media and entertainment industries. The remarkable skills, phenomenal delivery of solutions and the unrivalled developments that organisations are making in their respective fields with collaboration and co-creation at the heart of their work was simply exhilarating to watch.
