AMD Radeon RX 6600 vs NVIDIA Geforce RTX 3060

AMD is out with its latest Radeon RX 6600 GPUs in India, dedicated to high-end gaming on max settings at 1080p for the midrange gaming market. AMD India has targeted the cost-effective aspect by recently announcing the pricing of its budget 1080p GPU i.e. the AMD Radeon RX 6600, the new RDNA2 graphics card which will start at Rs 26,490 (excluding GST).

The RX 6600 is a toned down version of the RX 6600 XT, using the same GPU with the same amount of VRAM, but with other specs in different configurations:

The Radeon RX 6600 also supports AMD’s FidelityFX Super Resolution upscaling technology. It is also compatible with Windows 11 PCs. AMD claims that the RX6600 offers “up to 1.3X better performance-per-watt than the competition in select titles in 1080p at max settings.”

AMD also outlined its plan to pay special attention to power consumption. The company will use a new algorithm to monitor the ongoing workload and apply various CPU configurations to save power.
