JioGames has appointed Sidharth Kedia as the senior VP and head of Jio Games to scale up its business. He is the former chief executive officer (CEO) of Nazara-backed esports company Nodwin Gaming.
He had joined Reliance’s media business nearly a decade ago, at the time when Reliance Jio was in the final stages of its development. Kedia wrote in his LinkedIn post, “Over the last decade, D2C businesses focused on lifestyle, social, and entertainment have been the biggest beneficiaries of internet democratisation by Jio. In fact they exist today because Jio changed the way India accessed data.
A decade later, I am thrilled to rejoin the RIL family and be entrusted with the opportunity to scale JioGames and build the gaming behemoth that India awaits.”
Previously, Kedia served as EVP and head of Strategy, M&A, data science, and esports at Viacom18 for nearly three years. Additionally, he held the position of CEO-digital (non-news) and corporate strategy at Network18 for almost two years.
