Planeta Junior has signed a licensing agreement with Aguas Danone, S.A. that will launch two water bottle collections based on the internationally famous little blue characters. One has a back-to-school theme while the other is designed for summer holidays. IMPS, owners of popular The Smurfs license, worked on the design of both collections.
Both Font Vella collections include two different The Smurfs products with unique designs for fans of the series to collect: 3 fun 33 cl bottles in the shape of the most famous characters, and up to 12 different designs for six packs of 33 cl bottles. These bottles are available to buy now.
According to Danone Waters head of marketing Rodrigo Liébana, “We are very happy that Planet Junior trusts us to carry the image of The Smurfs on our Font Vella Kids bottles. These The Smurfs collections are an example of our commitment to associating drinking water with fun through the favorite characters of the little ones, and not so little ones”.
“Its been a real pleasure working on this collaboration between two iconic brands like The Smurfs and Danone – Font Vella, which share the same values including: environmental protection and bringing happiness. The customized artworks based on back-to-school and holiday themes will delight modern parents who grew up with The Smurfs, and their children. It’s Smurftastic!”, said Planeta Junior category manager publishing and promotions Gregory Pierron.
Based on the characters and universe created by Belgian cartoonist Peyo in 1958, The Smurfs are now more alive than ever, thanks to their latest CGI and live action films and the new CGI animated TV series for five to 10 year olds that will premiere globally in 2022. The series will feature everything that has made The Smurfs iconic: comedy, adventure, action, pace and quick-fire dialogue.
