Get ready for another cat-mouse fight, as the beloved duo Tom and Jerry are coming to entertain their fans on the big screen yet again, after Tom and Jerry: The Movie which premiered in 1992.
According to a new report from Deadline, Warner Bros. has officially announced a release date and early details for their upcoming Tom & Jerry movie.
Director Tim Story who previously directed Fantastic Four and Fantastic 4: Rise of the Silver Surfer, and will next direct the upcoming Shaft reboot, will be helming the project.
The movie is based on the cartoons that started in 1940 by the company Hanna Barbera, which created 114 Tom and Jerry shorts between 1940 and 1958, winning seven Oscars in the process. Hanna Barbera also created The Flintstones, Scooby Doo, The Smurfs and The Jetsons.
The film, which will be a live-action and animated hybrid, is set to debut on 16 April 2021.
