Detroit-headquartered US tech firm, Pi Square Technologies, opened its global animation and VFX studio in Hyderabad. Named Hornbill Studios, it will focus on delivering visual technology solutions across the entire value chain: pre-production, production, post-production, animation, VFX, AR, VR and e-learning content. The studio will cater to several global media majors.
Principal secretary to the department of IT, E&C, commerce and industries, government of Telangana Jayesh Ranjan inaugurated the global studio at Mindspace HITEC City in Madhapur. The global delivery center of Pi Square Technologies was also inaugurated on the occasion. The center will offer solutions in emerging technologies to global technology firms around the world.
“I am glad that Hornbill Studios has been set up in Hyderabad. Telangana government has been working on policies to boost the animation industry in the State. We are committed to providing an ecosystem for growth which will make Hyderabad the animation capital of the world,” said Ranjan.
