Emphasizing on the urge to vaccinate children, UNICEF is launching a new global campaign on 24 April, called #VaccinesWork.
Created by ad agency RPA, the campaign is a minute long animated film titled Danger. Created using various illustrations for social media posts and posters along with the film, the campaign will release during World Immunization Week and will run every year from 24 to 30 April.
The campaign is based on the relatable insight that kids, by their very nature, are little daredevils who are constantly putting themselves in danger and will be available in Arabic, Chinese, French, Hindi, Russian, Spanish and Tagalog.
“We want the awareness that #VaccinesWork to go viral. Vaccines are safe, and they save lives. This campaign is an opportunity to show the world that social media can be a powerful force for change and provide parents with trustworthy information on vaccines,” UNICEF chief of immunization Robin Nandy told the media.
The film explains how it’s difficult for parents to keep a tab on the dangers in the surroundings that kids get themselves into but they can at least use vaccination to avoid the dangers that get into kids.
