India’s collegiate gaming talent hunt College Rivals — owned by Ampverse DMI — announced TVS Apache series as the co-presenting sponsor for its second season.
As a rapidly growing sports motorcycle brand globally, TVS Apache’s collaboration with this gaming platform aims to forge a deep connection with the younger generation.
As part of the partnership, TVS Apache will showcase its motorcycles at colleges hosting the College Rivals truck, giving students the chance to experience these two-wheelers firsthand. Additionally, students will have the opportunity to test drive the bikes on their campuses.
The engagement doesn’t stop there. Students will have the chance to win exciting prizes through various contests, with the ultimate winner of the grand finale driving away with a brand-new TVS Apache 200 4V motorcycle.
College Rivals aims to crown the next generation of champions in the esports arena as season two expanded to 20 plus cities and 58 plus colleges. The winning mentality that propels Apache Racing characterised by a pursuit of perfection and an indomitable spirit is the very mindset that esports athletes must embrace to achieve success, both the companies believe. They feel that together, they inspire the next generation to push boundaries, excel under pressure, and embody the true essence of what it means to be a champion.
“We’re excited to have TVS Apache join us as a co-presenting sponsor for College Rivals season two. Their involvement aligns seamlessly with our vision. Partnering with a brand that connects with our collegiate audience not only elevates the gaming and esports experience but also extends the reach of esports through meaningful, non-endemic collaborations. This season’s expanded talent hunt will take us to more colleges and cities in search of India’s top esports talent, and we anticipate a richer brand experience for TVS as a result,” said Ampverse DMI country head Ashwin Haryani.
“College Rivals perfectly embodies TVS Apache’s brand values of future forward technology, performance, agility, innovation, and relentless spirit. Driven by the philosophy that inspiration starts young, and aspiration starts younger, we aim to inspire the next generation of riders and esports enthusiasts to embrace the thrill of the ride and the adrenaline of gaming through our partnership with College Rivals,” said TVS Motor Company business premium head Vimal Sumbly. “This partnership is a testament to our commitment to fostering youthful energy and further building our community of over five million Apacheons that celebrates both the virtual and real-world excitement of high-performance safe riding and racing experiences. We look forward to an incredible season this year.”
The second edition of College Rivals, set to engage over 2,00,000 college students across India, boasts a prize pool of Rs 50,00,000 and a prestigious professional gaming contract. After kicking off in July 2024, the championship will culminate in a grand finale scheduled for February 2025.
