Disney’s Mary Poppins Returns brings out its first trailer showing us magical wonders of Mary Poppins. Emily Blunt inherits the iconic titular character, which was earlier portrayed by Julie Andrews, which earned her first Oscar in the 1964 musical.
The synopsis of the film goes like this, Mary Poppins has come back to England to take care of the Banks children again — the two grown children, specifically. Michael is raising his three children on his own, and has forgotten what it means to be a whimsical child.
Keeping the aura of original intact, Mary Poppins shows children the fantasy driven animated world. The film is nothing short of singing, dancing and joyous moments.
The Mary Poppins Returns cast along with Blunt includes Lin-Manuel Miranda, Ben Whishaw as Michael and Emily Mortimer as Jane Banks. Meryl Streep, Colin Firth, Julie Walters, Angela Lansbury, and Dick Van Dyke, though he won’t reprise the role of Bert.
Mary Poppins Returns will fly to the theatres on 19 December.
