The Dark Knight Rises saw Tom Hardy play the role of one of the caped crusader’s most menacing antagonists after Heath Ledger made the character of Joker even cooler in The Dark Knight earlier in Nolan’s trilogy.
According to fresh reports now, after passing on the opportunity to be a part of DC Comic’s Suicide Squad to play Rick Flagg (that Joel Kinnaman took on instead) Hardy is set to return to the world of comic book movies with 100 Bullets.
Based on the comic by Brian Azzarello and Eduardo Risso, 100 Bullets is the second Veritgo property to go into development at New Line, following the planned feature of Neil Gaiman’s Sandman (that Joseph Gordon-Levitt is working on).
Hardy is on board the project in the capacity of producer and actor, and he is likely to be taking the role of Agent Graves, a man who presents people with a gun, and the name of the person who ruined their life. Then he throws 100 rounds of ammunition that can’t be traced into the mix. The story continues from there.
The movie is set to stay true to the comic, and Chris Borrelli has penned a screenplay for 100 Bullets already.
