DC Comics is gearing up for the greatest superhero fight in the history of the comic world. Son of Krypton vs. Bat of Gotham, or as Lex Luthor says in the trailer, “the greatest gladiator match in the history of the world!”
Trailer 2 for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice just landed on Jimmy Kimmel Live and it looks destructive. The film directed by Zack Snyder, with Henry Cavill reprising his role of Superman from Man of Steel, alongside Ben Affleck as Batman. Giving them company is Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman with Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, the megavillian from the DC universe.
The trailer opens with a tensed Clark Kent introducing himself to Wayne Enterprises’ Bruce Wayne. Then starts what is the heated discussion between the two superheroes in disguise. Kent starts questioning Bruce about the vigilante Batman and how his ways are getting out of control. Bruce retorts with a comeback saying how The Daily Planet only write puff pieces about its favorite alien, “Maybe it’s the Gotham city in me—I have a bad history with freaks dressed as clowns.”
The conversation is interrupted by Lex Luthor who eases the tension in the room, only to reveal his plans to engineer the fight between this two. We also get a glimspe of General Zod, and maybe there is a plot point where Luthor reanimates the corpse of Zod to create something evil.
Not only General Zod, Doomsday also makes an appearance and is on the verge of burning Batman to ashes, but Wonder Woman saves the day!
