En number of endearing moments that will actually make you feel like cuddling the little cave boy Spot and the baby Apatosaurus Arlo concocted with plenty of instances where one would want to empathise with the ‘good little dinosaur’ which has drifted away from its family; to be precise, a roller coaster of emotional instances immediately followed by plenty of Awww moments is what the second official trailer of Pixar’s ‘The Good Dinosaur’ is all about.
The Good Dinosaur lives on the imaginative lines of ‘what in case the asteroid that wiped out the dinosaurs from the face of the planet had actually missed its target’ and revolves around the journey of ‘far away from family’ Apsatrsoaras, Arlo who then on his topsy turvy voyage befriends a small little cave boy Spot. The first trailer of Pixar had dialogues but just minimal as compared to this recent trailer that focuses more on colloquies and gets us a lot more sneak peeks of the hilarious and emotional moments kept in store for us just to catch them all on thanksgiving day-in November.
Short yet funny scenes of Spot blowing into a hole in the ground just to pop out a snugly little Pika lookalike in comparison to Arlo’s when hundreds of those tiny guys pop out or telling us how Arlo’s encounter with a Triceratops led him to naming his BFF as Spot are some of the much amusing scenes that do not fail in tickling one’s funny bone. The most emotional yet impressive scene of this trailer is towards the end when Spot comforts his best buddy Arlo, when the latter is seen missing his family terribly.
We must say Arlo has been very well portrayed as the innocent yet matured baby dino while his best friend Spot turns out to be an exceptionally cute character. Be it their looks, actions or antics on screen, everything about these two friends is simply endearing. Well for the cute voices of Arlo and Spot, you definitely need to thank the 13-year-old Raymond Ochoa and Jack Bright respectively for having done such a commendable job. Raymond, at such a tender age has already added many feathers to his hat since he has made a number of live-action television appearances on shows like The Night Shift and Rizzoli & Isles. He is famously known for his voice in prominent animated features like Monsters University, Mars Needs Moms, and Disney’s A Christmas Carol. The others who have done justice to the characters are Jeffrey Wright as Poppa – Arlo’s father, Frances McDormand as Arlo’s mother, Marcus Scribner as Arlo’s brother Buck, Steve Zahn as a pterodactyl – Thunderclap, Sam Elliott as T-Rex Butch, Anna Paquin as T-Rex Ramsey and AJ Buckley as T-Rex Nash.
Well, this trailer is not very different from the first trailer that launched just last month since it also comprises of the three Tyrannosaurus Rex and also Arlo’s scary encounter with a gigantic snake that we had seen in the previous clip as well; but the extra additional moments that have been shown in the second trailer is what makes this promo more attractive. This 2:02 minute trailer definitely makes you experience all kinds of sentiments.
The movie that is directed by Peter Sohn and produced by Denise Ream shall come across your nearest theatres in US on 25 November, also the Thanksgiving week this year.
