Temple Street, production company behind ‘Orphan Black’, launches animation division

Temple Street Productions has formed a new parent company Boat Rocker Media and launched five business lines including a new animation division. This new division called Boat Rocker Animation will consist of a 5,000-square-foot studio in Toronto.

Functioning as a full service animation studio, Beat Rocker Animation will partner with creators, producers and broadcasters in the production of original 2D and 3D animation content. It has already worked on a couple of animation content which includes Dot and Top Wing, produced in partnership with Toronto-based Industrial Brothers.

Well, Temple Street Productions is known for the production of BBC America’s popular Orphan Black series which is based on a distinct science fiction concept of clones. And now, the parent company Boat Rocker Media has realigned its content production business into five business clusters with a view to expand and extend its reach. It will oversee Boat Rocker Studios, Boat Rocker Rights, Boat Rocker Ventures, Boat Rocker Brands and Boat Rocker Animation.

This realignment will allow Boat Rocker Media to create and distribute content across a range of digital platforms for the world market and create original quality content on the animation front.
