TVAGA (Telangana VFX, Animation and Gaming Association), is a nonprofit association, formed and led by a team of well-known CEOs, founders, and academicians of visual effects, animation, and gaming industry in Indian. The association inherits some strong profiles from AVCGI which is now merged with TVAGA to form a new body with some profound portfolios as core committee members, including Rajiv chilaka (Green gold Animation), Madhav Reddy (Rotomaker VFX), Sridhar Muppidi (PurpleTalk Inc) and Pete Draper ( Makuta VFX ). Having loaded up with knowledge and experience in important aspects of the industry, it seems the heads of the association have plans to develop and promote animation, VFX and gaming industry in Telangana.
Fortunately, Telangana Govt is proactive in identifying the scope of the industry and coming up with lucrative development programs such as dedicated IMAGE Policy for AVCG industry, in April 2016. Since then The industry is continually transforming and stretching its wings to unimaginable segments, thanks to the emerging digital technology. TVAGA’s primary aim is to establish a credible coordination system with Govt and act as a path to take all it’s welfare schemes to right destination in AVG industry.
Currently, TVAGA has active communities on its social media platforms such as Facebook and WhatsApp. Unlike its predecessor, TVAGA claims to have succeeded in building an ecosystem where students, professionals, academies, and companies exchange dialogues that matter to them and create value to each other. Besides being active in the social platform, the association has plans to create dedicated online forums, conduct workshops, seminars and events to uplift the spirit among all stakeholders of the industry and provide right orientation to the aspirants of the industry.
“There are no commercial aspects involved in it. We have formed this organization for the purpose of retaining and enhancement of VFX, animation and gaming industry in Telangana. our promotion is not limited to Telangana alone as we have plans to showcase our state’s infrastructure and scope of business to the global market by setting up stalls in international expos and conferences in other countries as well”, reads a statement from the organization. Their main focus is to showcase the developments of the industry in Telangana, such as new infrastructure to facilitate studios (Image Tower, T-hub), skills and talents to the rest of the world and append Govt’s intention to make the city idle destination to setup studios and do the profitable business.
TVAGA intends to act as a credible source to provide correct industry orientation to T-govt with respect to technology, education, and development of AVG Industry.
These are reportedly their objectives:
- To organise large scale industry events to build a connecting platform to all stakeholders of the industry.
- To provide/support companies and startups on consumption of govt schemes.
- Supporting start-ups and IP creation.
- Organising regular CG meetups on various topics to improve the skills and knowledge of students and professionals.
- Strengthening the foundation of the education system by deriving requirements from the industry and suggest right curriculum.
- Conduct creative competitions.
All studios and academies in Telangana are likely supporting TVAGA for it’s objective of uplifting the industry and building an environment where everybody in the industry helps each other to gain mutual benefits.
