Summer has arrived and gaming enthusiasts from across the globe have another reason to rejoice about. Steam, the hub for great PC games is back with its summer sale titled, ‘Steam’s Summer Picnic Sale’. For those who do not know much about this, every year around the end of June, Steam offers a discount on prices for a lot of games (yes, a lot). This is one of the many discount events that Steam offers throughout the year, the summer edition being one of the biggest, where you can get discounts of 10 per cent to 90 per cent on your desired games.
With a whopping 5,199 games on sale, the event will continue till 4 July and will allow users to decide and purchase whichever ones they please. It is interesting to note that Steam, again will be discontinuing their flash sale and thus whichever games get discounted, they will stay the same till the sale ends although there will be highlights during the event, which will be refreshing every day.
With the advent of VR headsets like HTC Vive and Oculus Rift, this is the first time Steam will be offering discounts of VR compatible games like the arcade shooter Space Pirate Trainer or the musical Audioshield or even the puzzle game of Keep talking and Nobody Explodes.
Highly popular games like the newly launched DOOM, Rocket League, Grand Theft Auto V, all have a lucrative 40 per cent discount on them. Apart from these Fallout 4’s price has been slashed down to half and Payday 2 is experiencing a 75 per cent price cut off.
It takes time to figure out and choose the games from the mind boggling tributaries of options, but with everything staying on the same prices till the sale ends, one can check the highlights of the day and track the game they want. So, if you are looking to buy some great games, Steam’s sale would be a great place to loosen up your wallets.
