Shah Rukh Khan owned Red Chillies VFX has in partnership with Autodesk’s Maya created a life size 3D printed model of King Khan himself. What was originally supposed to be a birthday gift for the Badshah of Bollywood has ended up being a belated one.
The life size print was handed over to SRK late last night by the team of Red Chillies and Autodesk. Due to SRK’s hectic schedule, the model that was ready in October, was only given to him now.
Autodesk India – M&E head, India and SAARC region Alok Sharma said that this was a technology partnership with Red Chillies and a meeting took place with SRK where several ideas were discussed for the future.
Speaking on the gift, SRK said, “It is overwhelming how technology has gone forward. I am grateful to be a part of this amazing technology. This is outstanding and I am dying to show it to my kids. Its silver and shiny statue of mine in my classic pose. I want to thank Keitan, Harry, Red Chillies VFX team and Autodesk team who have worked on it. It’s the figure of work I have done for all these years.”
A tweet from the star applauds the fine detail in the model.
Even the folds in the shirt and trousers are captured in such detail…and if I may add the dimples too. pic.twitter.com/RYwLcoxIVZ
