The popularity of the Splatoon 2 that has dominated the online play for many Nintendo Switch players has pushed Nintendo to launch new updates for the game which includes own version of Dragon Ball’s famous spirit bomb attack.
Nintendo announced that a new special weapon would be coming to Splatoon 2 called the Booyah Bomb, which fans may find similarities with the famous Dragon Ball technique.
According to the official twitter post, “Once activated, charge it up faster by signaling Booyah! Teammates can also get a small bonus to their special meter with Booyah! rally cries of their own! Unleash it once it’s charged for a big inksplosion!”
The whole idea of bringing Booyah Bomb is reminiscent of Goku’s spirit bomb in Dragon Ball. In Dragon Ball series, Goku uses this technique by gathering the energy of all living things on the planet and harnesses their power into a giant ball. The variations on this technique are many and have either been used to boost Goku’s Super Saiyan strength to deliver a powerful punch or blast an enemy as intended, but for all intents and purposes, it’s a devastating technique brought through teamwork.
Splatoon is currently available for Nintendo Switch. If you’re inclined to check out Dragon Ball Super, the series currently airs its English dub on Adult Swim. It is also available on Funimation and Amazon Video.
If you want to catch up with the english dub, the first 65 episodes of Dragon Ball Super are now available for streaming on FunimationNOW, VRV, and available for purchase on Amazon Video as well.
