Sony Pictures Entertainment’s Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse is soon set to spin a web of spider-mania like never before, bringing together six different web-slingers together on-screen – the first-of-its-kind spectacle in all of Spider-Man’s history at the movies and television.
However, one of the more interesting and amusing friendly neighborhood is the pork-avatar of the spider, called Spider-Ham aka Peter Porker.
The anthropomorphic animal parody of Spider-Man is although a popular character in the comics, it is for the first time in any format we’re getting to see Spider-Ham on the big-screen. And to get us accustomed to it, Sony Pictures have released a 30-second clip on its official YouTube channel with Spider-Ham at the helm, strutting his stuff to fight the baddies against the backdrop of a funny rendition of Spider-Man’s original song.
Titled ‘Meet Spider-Ham’, the featurette also displays the web-spinning pork munching on hotdogs at every opportunity, clicking his own pictures in action and also possessing a secret weapon in a wooden gravel often used in combat.
Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse is not all laugh and fun, but Spider-Ham’s character promises to provide the comedic edge everytime he’s onscreen.
Co-directed by Bob Perischetti, Peter Ramsey and Rodney Rathman, the film swings its way into cinemas this Friday, 7 December 2018 in India.
