Sony Pictures Animation announced that the much awaited Spider-Man animated film has been knocked to a release date of 21 December, 2018. The animated Spidy was originally scheduled to release on 20 July, 2018 as per Sony’s earlier announcement.
Along with this, Sony’s The Emoji Movie is set for release on 11 August, 2017 and a remake of Peter Rabbit is scheduled for 23 March, 2018.
So, the audience has to extend their wait to witness the crisp adventures of Spider Man from the filmmakers Phil Lord and Chris Miller who are known for the creation of The Lego Movie and Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs.
Though much is not known about the reason for this delay, it seems Sony wants to deliver the best with sufficient time and creativity. The superhero has already cemented a place in the hearts of audiences across the globe, thus Sony has a major task to enhance this image and attract more eyes towards the action adventure. Thus, a delay in time is quite justified.
