Son of the supremely talented Shankar Mahadevan and the voice behind chartbusters like ‘Zinda’ and ‘Malang Malang’, Siddharth Mahadevan has for the first time lent his voice for television.
A self-confessed fan of animation, the singer has recorded for the title track of Hungama TV’s first homegrown television special ‘Manav’, which is set to premiere on 30 August. The young vocalist who has previously contributed to Hindi and Marathi cinema and is extremely excited to be associated with the series, as he relates to the qualities that ‘Manav’ epitomies.
Revealing more on his experience singing for the track Siddharth says, “I had a fabulous time recording for Maanav. It’s the first time I have given my voice for an animated movie meant for kids and the lyrics and the music of the song truly capture the spirit of the show. I hope that everyone likes the song and it becomes the new favourite track among kids.”
The story of ‘Manav’ revolves around the protagonist Manav who vows to embark upon a quest to free the innocent souls and the world from the wrath of the demonic ‘Mahasur’ and his army of ruthless Asuras
The animated feature will premiere on 30 August, 2014 at 12:00 pm only on Hungama TV.
