When Star Wars: The Force Awakens hit theatres last December everyone had this one question in mind- How was the film made? What had gone in the creation of such a huge blockbuster? And, this was answered by various reports on the VFX and production work though not a detailed input from the franchise itself but it helped gain some information.
But now finally, the secret of the film will be revealed as a feature-length documentary Secrets of The Force Awakens: A Cinematic Journey providing insights at the making of this epic movie is set for its launch.
The documentary will feature an inside look about the creation of the film through in-depth footage and exclusive interviews with the actors and filmmakers. Star Wars: The Force Awakens Star Wars: The Force Awakens made it big at the Oscars due to its 2100 VFX shots produced by ILM Studio. And we can hope that this documentary will help understand the intense VFX angle and the creation of various characters better.
The documentary will have its world premiere during the South by Southwest Film Festival (SXSW), being held in Austin, Texas, 11-19 March, 2016. It will also be shown at the Paramount Theatre in downtown Austin on Monday, 14 March, at 12pm. The visual effects supervisor o f the film Roger Guyett, supervising sound editor Matthew Wood and co-producer Michelle Rejwan will be available for a Q&A following the screening.
